    Hi there,

I’m using a Kona LS card and so far so good. However, when I select an image to use instead of the standard test one initially it displays fine. However, when I launch an app like FCP or AE and then exit the display image goes all green. Any ideas why this might be?

FCP and AE have ultimate control over the Kona card, when you launch those programs and they are active they now have control.

    Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for your response, maybe I was being a bit unclear in my original post. My test file dispays fine when I first select it. After having worked in AE or FCP (or whatever other util) when I return to my desktop (all Kona apps closed) that’s when the corruption in the test image occurs.

Set the default Kona output as your test image in the Control tab of the Kona control panel.

Keep the KonaCP open at all times.

Sorry, I totally get what you are saying now.

This appears to be a bug. I would notify support@aja.com and see what they say.

It has to do with the frame buffer not returning to RGB after switching from FCP and YUV.
