  • UPDATE – Pro Apps Update Problem Solved

If you have issues after installing the latest Pro Apps update heres a solution.

After installing the Pro Apps update my FCP system went compeletly bonkers, with audio sync completely non-existant. See the thread a few threads below. After conferring briefly with Jerry at AJA Support I decided to try fixing by unistalling AJA drivers for my Kona LH and then reinstalling. BINGO!!! The problem is alleviated… So, if you have a similar issue now you know there is a fix.

Darn Jeremy, I thought the fix came to me in a dream. Jeeze, I hope I wasn’t dreaming about you… that would really be scary.

Thanks for implanting the thought in my head…

Jeremy did this to me too…a P2 import issue that I THOUGHT I SOLVED. But he pointed out that he mentioned the solution WEEKS ago…and I seemed to have ignored it.

So he is the smart guy that we all ignore for some reason.

I am beginning to think it’s me. This happened to me just two days ago when a guy said he made a dv sequence, when he didn’t. Shane, I think you were in on that post (that dv 23.98 thing). Perhaps I should change my font? Put flowers at the end of my post? Send chocolates to everyone? I don’t know… 😀

Perhaps I shouldn’t be so long winded.

David – if you could sell me this, I would be very interested in it. As a matter of fact, you will be able to sell this to everyone on these forums, and put Creative Cow (and everyone else) out of business. If you have this, you have the greatest thing ever invented in the post industry. Please tell me how I can place my order.

    Bob,

You might need a double dose, but then you wouldn’t be Bob Zelin anymore and we who appreciate your style and wit, just as you are right outta the box, would certainly miss you.

BTW, one of my secrets to “post without the usual insanity” happens to be The Creative Cow. A long time ago I realized that one could learn about most issues before they happen just by staying tuned to The Cow. As you can see from the Pro Apps update issue, that’s not always possible, cuz sometimes any of us can be the first to take a plunge that turns out badly. But it sure helps…

[David Roth Weiss] “BTW, one of my secrets to “post without the usual insanity” happens to be The Creative Cow.”

This is my secret, too.:) My clients think I’m a genius because I know how to fix problems they create with bad setups & workflows just like the ones other people post to the Cow about.

I think we are all guilty of this! I know without a doubt that I couldn’t have done my job as well as I can without the COW. It is the most valuable resource that we have!
