  LCD monitor funnyness

  Howdy,

  Just installed a Kona 3 into a dual G5. I have two LCD monitors on this edit suite. Upon boot up my 2nd monitor tiles the background and has this taring kind of effect on anything displayed. I get around it by going to my display prefs and changing the resolution to one size smaller, then back up to it’s normal res. Not a big deal but a small annoyance. Anyone ?

  step 1 – swap monitors around, and see if the “working monitor” has this issue when on the other port of the AGP card.

  step 2 – bad graphics card ? bad cable ? what type of monitor – Apple, DELL, other ? If it’s not Apple – replace the cable (swap with other monitor). Reseat your graphics card.

  The monitor (viewsonic) has been working great until I installed the Kona. I’ll check the cables though.
