  External monitor DELAY

  Hi all,

  This is driving me nuts. Off and on (mostly off) my external monitor is lagging behind by about 4 frames. Working with FCP 6, regular old SD uncompressed 10 bit. It could be a simple setting, but I’m not sure because it is not consistent.

  Any ideas??

  Have you gone into System Settings -> Playback Control and set the offset to zero?

  Default is 4. It should be 0 while using AJA hardware.

  Yep, but I have more info now and have somewhat isolated the problem, but now I’m not sure if it’s FCP or AJA related.

  If I click anywhere in my timeline and play forward, good to go. If I then pause and jog backwards, it’s off (sometimes). If I then go forward without clicking in the timeline (l), it’s off (usually), BUT I can always click the the timeline and play forward and it’s fine.

  Weird.

  I can work around by clicking and clicking, but not productive.
