  kona2 with sony j-3

  can any one help me with connecting analog audio from a sony j3, to the kona2??? i have the Kbox with the system and fcp 5.1. i have many beta sp tapes i need to edit…any help will be appreciated.

  the K2 does not have analog audio inputs

  Set the control panel to embedded audio and capture it all over HDSDI.

  The J-3 deck was available as an analog only version with no SDI card. We have one here with the component & XLR option. If this is the deck you have then you might have to hire in something with SDI.

  Does your J3 have the SDI option or the Component Analog option? If it’s SDI (like mine) then all you need to do is run the SDI cable to the Kona and set the Kona Control Panel for Embedded audio. The audio will come through the SDI.
