I have some PNG images I need to arrange around a circle, then rotate the circle of objects.

I have been creating a circle mask/path using the ellipse tool. But getting the objects to snap to that circular path is the rub.
The tutorials I have found online seem to all use the pen tool to draw a path freeform. I need a perfect circle.

What is the best/easiest way to do this, thanks!

Hold down shift for a perfect circle, add cntl after you start making your circle to have it anchor to where you started making your circle.

    Thanks.

So here is what I am seeing.
I draw the mask/path, perfect circle.
Copy mask path, paste it onto position
of the image I need to align.

When I do that, another path with handles
gets created, and the image follows THAT path.
I suppose I could live with that, but how to move
or resize that path with the handles?

    One more obvious question –

Other than eyeballing it, is there a more precise way
to align the objects around the circle, so they are
    exactly spaced apart?

Dave, does the referenced null technique automatically space all images equally distant from each one’s center? So they are distributed equally around the circle?

That wasn’t my understanding – hence the question.
    Thanks.
