  • Automated multiple render of the same composition with different layers

I have an image sequence of a car rotating on a turntable over 360 degrees and I need to change the car’s color and output the modified sequence. My problem is that there are 9 colors of the car which I need to output. So what I’m doing right now is that I enable the “Silver” layer and render. Enable the “Black” layer and render. Enable the “Red” layer and render and so on until I have all 9 colors rendered. Every time the background changes or some adjustment curve changes I have manually re-render all of the 9 colors again.

Is it possible to write a script that would do exactly as I do manually?

    1. Render the composition as a TIF sequence from frame 0-35 named as A
    2. Enable layer 1
    3. Render the composition as a TIF sequence from frame 0-35 named as B
    4. Enable layer 2
    5. Render the composition as a TIF sequence from frame 0-35 named as C
    6. Enable layer 3
    7. …
    8. …

Could anybody help me how to write such a script if possible?

    Thank you very much!
