  FCP settings for digi beta deck

  does anyone know the correct easy setup for a sony digi beta deck? I have deck control, timecode & audio but I can’t see the video & it won’t capture

  I use the Kona 8Bit Uncompressed with a Kona 2 – sometimes I use 10-bit.
  Make sure your deck has SDI selected as input.

  What I/O card do you have? Which deck are you using?

  Check you Kona control panel, and make sure you select the correct SDI input.

  The correct capture setting, assuming NTSC is AJA Kona 525 – 29.97 10 bit. (or 8 bit for smaller file sizes
  and a little less quality. For PAL you should use 625-25 10bit.

  How are you getting audio. Embedded, AES or analog?
