  Split and slide alternate effect – looking for tutorial or tips

  Trying to emulate the image split, slide, and seamlessness of the images when they come together after splitting (see above link). Any tutorials or tips are much appreciated! First shot at making motion graphics for a work project, and I am teaching myself after effects years after a beginner’s course (I’m a proficient video editor)
