  timecode but no video when capturing MiniDV to FCP bypassing my AJA 2 and using Firewire

  I needed to capture video from a Sony DVCAM deck to FCP 5.0.4, so i decided to plug in the Firewire into the G5 and go. I didn’t want to use my Kona card, as its all patched up to other decks. I set my easy setup to DV NTSC and I get deck control, timecode but no video. I can’t believe I’m having this hard of a time capturing DV. Any suggestions would be much appreciated
