    Hi there.
Was just wondering what the verdict was in the herd of what’s the best buy nowadays for an HD monitor on the Kona2?

I’m very happy with everything about the 20″ Apple display I have as a working monitor, but one can’t really use the 23″ as a broadcast monitor on the Kona2 since it only takes DVI in. So I guess it’s not really a versatile buy.
Using a Sony PREMIERPRO 23″ from time to time, but I found that I’m quite limited to what it synchs to on output from the Kona2. Is the Dell 23″ still the hottest option?

    Apple 23″ Cinema
    Dell 2405FPW
    HP L2335
    Sony SDM-P234b
    eCinema

everything else is “consumer” – but you know what – consumer looks pretty
    damn good.

Actually the dell component inputs are pretty poor (then again compared to LCD TV set’s ot there – it looks wery good) but I would recomand getting the SDI DVI converter for best picture quality

    [Bob Zelin] “Apple 23″ Cinema
    Dell 2405FPW HP L2335 Sony SDM-P234b eCinema”

Got to add the Panasonic BTW1700 to that list

    HD/SDI, Component, Y/C, Composite with passthru….

    No converter needed.

you are absolutely correct (and soon add the Panasonic BT-LH2600 26″ monitor after NAB – but please remember that this series of monitors has a lower resolution than 1920×1200 (or even 1366×768).

    Yes
but it will handle a interlaced signal better than either the Dell or Cinema Display, does not need a converter and accepts any HD signal.
