May 28, 2005 at 5:42 pmThe reason for the panic is that I’ve already buy 2 Kona 2 cards but I do not have any Digital deck. I bought them because I would like to work with HD in the near future, but I’ll use UVW 1800 Betacam SP decks until the HD is available. If I decide to keep the Kona 2s what can I do to use them with the analog decks? Is it possible to do any arrange with the SDI converters from Aja (Models DC10A and DC10B)? If I get the 2 converters I guess I’ll have to make some arrangement throug a patch bay in order to capture video and audio from the Beta deck and to send it back once edited… Am I right?

May 28, 2005 at 6:47 pmYes, getting the D10A and the D10C converter will solve your problem. These mini-converters will take a component analog signal and convert it to a SDI signal. Also, look at the AJA I/O LA as a converter for all your in and outs.
