    Good Morning

I have a barely used Tandberg LTO drive (LTO 3503) and am wondering is there something I can use to connect it to a brand new macbook?

It is a SAS, pSCSI, or Fibre-Channel version?

From Tandberg’s site, the LTO3503 is a SCSI external LTO-4 drive.
To connect, you’ll need a SCSI card, and a cable.

And that card has to go inside a Thunderbolt-PCIe case. And be supported by your MacOSX.

    Some cards here

… and, there are no pSCSI HBA’s that work in a Thunderbolt environment. We’re tried to hack an ATTO UL5D, but no luck.

The last working pSCSI solution that we can get consistent functionality is the ATTO UL5D in a Mac Pro running OS X 10.5.8. The drivers simply either don’t work and are ignored if you force load them, or actually cause a boot-time crash under 10.9+
