    Hi everyone,

I’m doing a docu-series with some buddies of mine. Each episode will be 30-min long and shot in HD. I’m going to get a new hard drive for the series, so I’m looking at the G-Technology 4 TB G-Drive Professional External Hard Drive and the G-Technology 4TB G-RAID External Hard Drive Array.

I’m going to be using someone else’s computer for this project so I can’t change any of their configuration, or buy anything that I can’t take with me when I leave. Would the second drive be overkill or even work properly on a computer with no RAID config whatsoever?

    Thanks for your help!

    First of all:
    G-Raid raid level5
get the best hd’s available (Hitachi Ultrastars to me)
test it on your working environment.
Take one spare disc with you! (for the G-Raid)
The second back up you can do on a normal USB Harddisc. If you have huge data go with your normal Harddisc over FW (need a FW Port)

    Good luck

    Rainer
