  How was this done?

  I may be in the completely wrong forum for this, but I’d really like to recreate some of (what appear to be) the extreme closeups of screen captures of people typing things into google, updating facebook statuses, etc. from this video:

  My guess would be that they just recreated their own versions of google, facebook, and twitter in after effects, but is there an easier way to get a clean looking extreme closeup of a screen?

  when i’ve done things like this, i’ll usually use simple screen grabs, rough cut it, then rebuild anything that i need closeups of (or animate) in after effects.

  however, potentially if you had a hi-res display (like a retina display) you may be able to shoot it or get better screen grabs…
