    Hello.

Masks are a pain in 3D flag because the MASK layers do not affect the effects layers.

For example. In 3.0 applying a blurr or what-not to 3D FLAG 3.0 will work, but when applying a MASK, it will not show.

Previous versions, said to use a PRECOMP for effects and masks. This makes sense, but how can you use a PRECOMP when you apply the material or texture in the Options area.

The reason I apply the materials than applying the texture straight from 3D Flag, is because in Materials, they’re more options like bump mapping, transparency etc.

Can anyone from ZAXWEKRS shed light on this?

    Thanks,

    Hello

I found the solution without going to ZAXWERKS.

For anyone who has this proble, you still set your flat image in “Flag Image” options in ZAXWEKRS, you create your PRECOMP, and add a mask.

In ZAXWERKS OPTIONS MATERIALS, you select the texture flag image, you should see a ALPHA mask for the mask itself selceted, and remove base color so you can see through the mask whole.

    All this for 5hrs a week….

I think ZAXWEKRS should make it more clear……
