Replace text with image while keeping animation settings
I’m editing a project that starts with a text animation (text slowly zooms in, then slides off the top of the screen). I’d like to replace the the text with an image (logo), while keeping the same animation the text had. What’s the best way to accomplish this?

Take a look at the text animators and copy what was done there to the transformation properties of the text would be the way I would approach it.
Which text preset are you trying replicate? Also is this something you want to do to the logo as a whole, or to individual letters in the logo, cause that would change the approach some.

what properties are keyframed for your text? if it’s just transform properties of the layer itself (scale, rotation, position) then you could place the image in the exact starting position of the text, parent the image to the text, toggle off the eyeball switch for the text and there you have it.

If its a transform to the layer then a precomp is best.
At times parenting works too.
If its actual keyframes applied to the text using Text Presets then no you cant apply that to a different layer.
