  After Fx CS6 parenting tools “alt key”

  Hi,
  I was wondering if you have been able to understand the different parenting options with holding the alt, shift keys. I coudnt grasp the “hold alt key”. maybe someone here may have already decoded them and can explain in layman’s terms. Thanks

  When you shift parent you probably have seen the layer will jump to the parent layer’s position. Alt+Parent moves takes it’s original coordinates(250,250) and moves the layer to the those coordinates based on the parent layer’s position. So where ever the parent layer is, that becomes 0,0 for the child layer.
