  HDMI Recorder and External Monitor from BMPCC?

  I’m trying to put together my rig for the BMPCC and i have an IKAN 7′ external monitor ready to go but i want to hook up an external recorder for the long days. Can i just split the HDMI and connect the two to the same output without reduction in quality?

  There are HDMI distribution amps. I’ve never used one, but if it conforms to specs, it should work. As with all “boxes” be suspicious of the lower priced ones.

  Check to see if you Ikan monitor support loop through. If this is the case then you can take the HDMI out signal from the monitor and put it to your recorder.

  Or, if the Ikan doesn’t loop thru, Matthew’s idea might work in reverse. Feed the signal to the recorder and loop out of that to the monitor.
