  • Rendering in Vector format – to use in Cinema 4D.

In the past out of habit I’ve created a make around an image/shape in Illustrator CS3 and saved as a vector .ai file. I import that into Cinema 4D and away I go. However using After Effects I haven’t and I’d like to.

Say I have an image/logo, I import into a composition and use either a mask tool, maybe auto trace or roto brush even. I have a mask over the image. Do you know how can I save that one frame of the composition with the mask as a vector format so I can use in Cinema 4d?

Can’t save it out of AE that way. If you have already done the work, you might be able to copy the paths and paste them in Illustrator. I know you can paste from Illustrator to AE, so it should work the other way around.
