When I go to render in AME I have some custom presets that I use and they are nicely placed at the top of the list. There are others that are in the middle of a loooooooooooong list of presets and adobe doesn’t making scrolling to them easy. I understand that I can make a custom but there are some that I use so infrequently that I don’t need it at the top so they will also be at the top but I also want to remove presets that I know I’ll never use like “SD for Tivo Series II” or “SD for Nook”.
AME doesn’t let you delete stock preset from within in the program.

I found the presets folders @ C:\Users\\Documents\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\11.0\Presets and edited the file there I also deleted the whole file and AME will put the Nook and Tivo presets back. It even replaced the file.

So how do I remove the presets permanently? I’ve already exported them to a backup folder in case I should ever need them.

    Thanks
    Jeff

try renaming them 1. something 2. else. the number will push to top in premiere’s dropdown at least. then write protect the file and change permissions.
