    Hello cow-boys and girls,

I need to do an animation based on files from Adobe Illustrator. The look that I want to create looks like this:

    4281_testanimation.swf.zip

I need to get this lines to wiggle around. I thought about several ways to do it (using expressions, using scribble effect), but I am lacking some knowledge about getting it done and the basics, so this is why I need some help.

First of my questions is how to get the Illustrator files into After Effects in the most efficient way, concerning this task? I know I can import, I can copy and paste, I can copy and paste the paths to solids, but what would I want to do in this case?

The Illustrator file has a couple of layers (groups). When copying the man onto a solid in After Effects, it gets me 53 masks. Should I consolidate or re-arrange the Illustrator-file before getting it over to AE, and in which way?

    your help is very appreciated!!!

    best regards,
    Gernot
