    hello,

I’ve been cutting a lot in Vegas at home with a toy camera, and on FCP with a DSLR at a local video art center. That local center also has after effects, and I’d love to learn it.

I’ve been searching and browsing, and am truly overwhelmed by the scope of tutorials, services, books, forums, etc etc etc.

What I’d really appreciate, is one or two lines of extremely simple direction on what angle you recommend jumping in with after effects.

The simpler the better (keeping in mind my mostly simple editing background).

    Thanks so so much!

videocopilot.net always seems to eventually use most of the things you need to know for a beginner while not bogging you down in the mundane parts of over-explanation. he focuses on the end product, which in my opinion, is much more effective than spending 6 chapters on how to open a window.
