  Not able to import MOV files to FCPX ?

  Hi, I have bought few alpha channel MOV files from shutter stock and tried to drag drop import to FCPX, but it shows error and cannot be imported.

  While few MOV files get imported instantly, but many doesn’t.
  It seems, there are some kind of file codec issue from shutter stock, which doesnt work with FCPX.

  So, can someone help what I need to do to make it work with FCPX ?

  Im on latest OS X and latest FCPX both.

  What are the files? There are several files that come from Shutterstock.

  You can contact Shutterstock and tell them you’re having trouble with some clips. Are you sure they’re not PAL format?

  Another suggestion is that you may wish to import them into compressor first, and convert them into whatever you’re editing. Or you could try importing them into MPEG Streamclip.

  Some codecs are no longer supports if you are on a newer OS.
