  • How to add an FCP Effect to a selected clip range–like first 15 frames?

    Hi.
Question: Is it possible to apply an Effect to a selected clip range…without using the blade tool?

I created a bounce effect (in Motion) that I’m trying to add to (roughly) the first 15 frames of a clip. The effect is not disimilar to bounce effects you see in Apple Keynote.

When I use the range tool, Final Cut applies the effect to the entire clip….which makes for a very slow intro bounce. At present, i’m using the blade tool and applying the effect to the first clip. This works but is a little messier than I would like. I’m no expert

Many thanks in advance…as I’m reacquainting myself with final cut.
