Type-On generator with animate and blinking cursor?
Posted by Tangier Clarke on August 27, 2016 at 3:01 pmHas anyone seen anywhere a simulated typing generator with an animated and blinking cursor for FCP X?

August 28, 2016 at 8:55 pmThanks. This is what I tried on my own. I used the oscillate parameter and animated it myself. There has to be an easier or rather an alternate way. When you’re typing a lot of text, this would just take a very long time.
I wish there was a way to get the line shape to react to each character when typed. I attempted to try that idea by using the “repel from” behavior but the problem is text in Motion is not seen as an object the line can repel from. Additionally, I cannot get the line to see the bounding box of the text as something to repel from as more is typed on.
This is tricky thing to do. After effects seems to be able to do it because it has expressions in it. I cannot figure out how to do this in Motion.
