  Can one play with FCPX’s lens flare title generator? Repeat the flare? Slow it down?

  I want to play a bit with the FCP light flare title generator but, when I go to the inspector, it doesn’t seem like there any options for playing with the flare aspect of the title. Am I wrong here? I’ve been playing around it with. i don’t think I’m wrong but I wanted to double check.

  No you’re not wrong. It is editable in Motion though. If you want to change colors, you could put a tint on the Components track and publish that parameter. You could add parameters to change the opacity of each element.

  Yes, the lens flare title is what it is, although I’m sure there are some third party ones that can do more.

  The brilliant thing about FCPX is that most effects can be customised in Motion. Add new parameters as needed, or even make your own lens flare title from scratch. The sky’s the limit 🙂
