Can I export a project as mono or do I need to make sure every track is mono instead?
I want the sound of my movie to be mono. I have dual mono for most clips, but some are not and the project is long. I’d rather not go through every single clip to make sure it is dual mono.
Is there any way to make the project mono on the export? I don’t see any but maybe there is a way.

I think the fastest way would be to make a compound clip of your timeline for export, then make the compound clip’s audio dual mono.

If you have Compressor, you can create a custom preset that exports to mono.

I dont have Compressor (well, i have the old one for FCP 7). Good suggestion Jeff. thanks for it!

If you really want mono, simply export QuickTime movie with roles as multitrack, and set one channel of audio with all roles selected and choose mono from the drop down.
