liquid emitation
Posted by Alek Panfilov on November 29, 2005 at 3:38 pmhi all ,
a friend of mine came today and asked me, can i do an animated splash of paint but with “texture” of gel, to be more like Mac buttons , shooted from top view 😉 i was thinking about animated masks with some effects and so on , but i think there can be another solution , particles.so my question to all of ya people here is , can i make such thing with trapcode particular ? or maybe with some other plugin for AEF without using 3d_program like maya or else ?

November 29, 2005 at 9:36 pmHey,
Of course you could do this in Maya, but that wouldn’t be so easy. Do a “Search Post” on the AAE Cow Forum, you’ll get plenty of explanations. That question comes a lot.
Hope that helped!

November 29, 2005 at 10:52 pmIf you have AE 6.5 Pro you can probably get pretty close with CC Mr. Mercury. Using a solid color and playing with lighting a bit can give you a “paint texture”. Play around with the settings and adjust the keyframes of your birth rate until you have a convincing splash. It won’t be as realistic as 3D, but it will definitely get you pretty close. Good luck!

November 29, 2005 at 11:10 pmwell ,
thanks for advice, but i have tryed few options by myself and found a mix of effects basicly based on particular effect quite good
here’s link to preview (5mb):
https://www.fsk.waw.pl/aef/farba.movbut now i have another problem with aux system particles , i want them to stay on “floor” layer after birth instead of moving all the time and fading out. i have to notice that making time value of particle haven’t done the suspected effect.
any ideas welcome =)
