That typically indicates the codec in the media hasn’t been loaded. It’s Canon so I’m guessing you need to install a plugin for the specific camera.

Just learned that it’s XF-AVC from the XC10 which is currently unsupported by FCP X. Resolve 12 has no issues with it and I’m converting to ProRes. But takes a loooong time. About 2 min for every minute of footage. And it’s making the fans in the iMac scream. Looking at getting EditReady software to convert. Says it’s XC10 compatible.

Don’t you LOVE it when production shoots with a new camera without consulting post? This happens WAY too often. They just assume it’ll work, no problem.

What- no testing of the post workflow before shooting? I’m shocked shocked!
