Waveform Drift in Clip Browser
As I’ve been using Final Cut X, I have noticed a problem with the waveforms in the Browser window going out of sync with the actual clip audio towards the end of the clip. Beginning starts out fine and the audio is in sync with the video itself for the full clip. Just the waveform seems to slide out of place. Anyone else have this problem or know the solution?

Sorry first time I’ve posted on this forum, I uploaded the video the link is above and here is the description of what happens, I’ve included it in the video description as well:
Sorry for some reason couldn’t get internal audio recording to work but you can visually see what I’m talking about. At the beginning of the clip you can see the waveform peaks in the browser window are in sync with the audio meter as well as the subject talking. But if you skip forward to 00:31 you can see the playhead pass over another waveform peak while the audio meter does nothing at all. Then only a few seconds later the audio meter shows there is sound but no waveform is shown in the browser window. This happens for every clip i try to view in the browser.

This has to do with the rendered waveforms being incorrectly scaled into the window space allotted. Scale the window larger or smaller (left/right) to force a re-render/rescale and it will get better, if you hit a sweet spot. For something like that I would work in filmstrip view, where you’ll see much less of it, if at all. Have seen it often myself, yes, and have reported it. Always good to do the same.

Ya dragging out the window to a different scale works, thanks. But its very finicky and needs to be in the perfect spot for that to work. I ended up just switching to Film Strip View in the browser and haven’t had that issue in this view yet.
