I have two projects in 7 that I want to open in X. Are there any free applications to do this? I only saw ones online that cost money. I imagine the answer is there is nothing free to do this, but I figured I’d ask this forum first.

Try Resolve lite. fcp 7 xml to Resolve to fcpxml. Dunno how well it works…

7toX is only $10. Don’t expect resolve or this app to transfer much more than basic cuts and transitions and perhaps some transforms if you’re lucky. There’s not much you can do about plugins, generators, titles and such. So if your projects are pretty basic or in the rough cut phase then it might fit the bill fine.

Oh the days when most apps e.g. utilities, helpers, converters, etc…
costs you at least three and at times four digits to purchase.
