  4K Workflow Question

  Hi guys,
  Have a project shot on the RED – it’s all 4K footage.
  Going to Vimeo.
  My question:

  Do I edit in a 4K timeline and then export to 1080p, or do I simply edit in a 1080 timeline and export to 1080p as well? I’m only concerned about quality of the video as it will be seen online.

  If you might one day put it on Youtube at 4k, then stay in 4k. if you are positive you won’t ever go past 1080p, then work in 1080p. This gives you the option to do cool camera moves, pushes, pulls, etc., with the 4k footage. Hopefully you shot wider than normal since it’s all 4k.
