15fps Clip in FCPX TimeLine
Hi,
Sorry, I had several Q in the past days, but unfortunately some problems accumulated in the past week.
i am editing an old 8mm Film of a client, which was scanned in a shop to MP4 AVI Files 15fps. I transcoded them in Compressor to ProRes 15fps.
When I get into X, I do not have an option to chose 15fps. Even if I choose, to set Project Frame Rate automatically when dropping first clip in TL, I get 23,98fps.
How can I get to the 15fps option, or it does not exist?

Why make the detour through Compressor?

It doesn’t exist. You’ll simply want to edit in any given fps and simply make a Compressor preset that outputs with the desired codec etc. and set the fps manually to 15 and use that in FCP for the final export.

1.) Because the original was some of AVI QT, that FCPX did not recognise
2.) Wouldn’t it be practical to be able to dial in a specific frame rate for a project?
