• Apple Final Cut Pro

  No sound, no waveforms

  Hi,

  None of the 300 clips (.mov, .MP4s coming from 6 different cameras) I recently imported have no sound, the waveforms are empty.
  There is no audio tab in information panel.

  When I click ‘reveal in finder’ and play the files in QT, everything is OK : original, proxies and optimised media contained in the library have sound.
  So they play well when read directly from the finder, but not from within FCPX.

  any idea someone ?

  Same problem here; importing audio from Canon 6D ssd card to FCP X 10.1.3 (Mavericks): no waveforms, no audio tab in inspector.

  I have performed this import many times before without issue. to my knowledge, no parametres have changed. What gives?
