  FCPX 10.1 and sparse disk images for archiving

  Watched this great tutorial on using sparse disk images to archive completed projects

  Is this still a valid technique with the latest FCPX 10.1? What has me confused is that in the video when he chooses Duplicate Project he is presented with a pop-up that allows a destination to be chosen. To accomplish the same thing now what would be the process?

  Using sparse disk images for archiving was a good solution when Event and Project folders were separated. Now that everything is already contained inside a Library there is no real need for this anymore. Just clean up your Library (delete Generated Library Media Files if you wish), make sure all your media are consolidated and archive the Library.
