  • Files won’t import from a card if you stop the import before it’s done

I mistakenly stopped an import which left a dozen files on the hard drive (card). The files in the event had the little camera icon in the corner. I selected the clips with the camera icons and tried to re-import. They wouldn’t import this way. I finally deleted the files with the camera icons and
    re-imported.

Is there another way to get these files to import besides consolidating library or event?

In your initial aborted import, you’ve created something X “sees” as a camera archive (the camera icon) wo when you try to do a new import, X thinks it already exists and therefore won’t create another one.

Find that initial created Archieve folder and trash it.

(It will be on the ROOT desktop of your hard drive)

When you trash it X will NOT see it on the desktop and allow you to do a fresh import.

Or you can simply choose “Reimport from camera/archive” if you haven’t in fact erased the card the clips came from (which you obviously hadn’t). Done. That’s what it’s for.

Thanks, I’ll try both of these.
