plays fine in cam but plays in slow motion in FC and out of sync with audio? 60p plays fine.

    1) is this a camera settings problem or a FC settings problem.

    2) Is there a way to capture the footage to resolve the problem?

I’m also going to ask at the panasonic P2 forum since it might be a camera settings issue.

Sounds like you shot 30p and not pn?

Did you check the “remove pulldown” box in the import window?

Yeah you are correct. I wrote the post at home and thought I had it set for pn. 30P under recording setup on the 170.

Remove pulldown is correct or not correct? I believe I had it checked. But I’ve tried it both ways and still getting slow mo.

What settings would you recommend for the 170/FC import?

I’m not sure if I’ve worked with this footage in X before, but I’d tell you what I would do.

I would import with “remove pulldown” UNchecked and edit in either a 59.94 or 29.97 timeline.

FCPX should be able to correctly remove the pulldown in a 29.97 sequence (at least FCP7 could).

Maybe that’s possible but in X I import footage and FC just dealS with it. In the inspector it says its

    960×720 29.97p DVCPROHD 720p60/30/24 linear PCM

In 7 I used to choose what I wanted In X it ewirther imports fine or it is “optimized” upon import.

That’s fine as long as it’s not slow motion.

If it does come in conformed, then import without removing pulldown.
