I’ve just purchased a NMP and have done a clean install or FCPX. I keep getting the following message…

“The application detected an error that prevents changes from being saved. To avoid losing your work, quit Final Cut Pro”

I’ve repaired disk permissions, but the error continues.

Any ideas how to solve this would be appreciated!

    Thanks

What version of FCPX are you using?

    Where is the library?

    it’s FCPX 10.1.1

And the Library is on an external Thunderbolt RAID drive.

    Thanks…

Make sure your permissions are correctly set on the external drive (or whatever folder your library is in).

The easiest way is to simply ignore ownership on the external drive in the “Get Info” window.

    Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for your help. I checked and the “ignore ownership” option in the get info window is already ticked.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

    Ben
