I have all our media, FCP Events and Projects on two Pegasus Thunderbolt drives. I back these drives up overnight to a Drobo, using a Carbon Copy Clone scheduled task.

Drive 1 backs uo into a folder on Drobo, drive 2 backs up into another folder on Drobo .

The Drobo’s copies of Events and Projects used to show up in FCP X (so we had to dismount Drobo during FCP X editing to avoid confusion) but now that we use CCC to back up, they don’t.

So the Drobo backup FCP events and Projects can’t be used in an emergency.

    Any tips on resolving this?

You have to make sure that the “Final Cut Events” and the “Final Cut Projects” folders on the Drobos are at the very top level of the drive and not inside another folder. If they are inside another folder FCPX won’t see them.
