  I have a problem with converting mjpeg avi and audio

  Hi,
  My client want me to convert video as a specific format which I don’t know how to do it.

  Video Format is

  File Extension : *.avi
  Format : AVI
  Video Codec : mjpeg
  Resolution : 480×234
  Aspect Ratio : 80:39
  Video Bitrate : 2000kbit/s – 2500kbit/s
  Frame/Sec : 20-25 fps
  Audio Codec : pcm_s16le
  Audio Bitrate : 128kbit/s
  Sampling Frequency : 44.1 or 48kHz

  I did research on internet and found that I can use VirtualDub with Morgan M-JPEG codec V3 to convert video but I didn’t find a way to convert audio as pcm_s16le. I don’t even have any idea about what pcm_s16le is.
  I see only pcm menu in the VirtualDub audio compression setup menu.
  Are they, I mean pcm and pcm_16le, really different?

  please help me.

  It means signed 16-bit little endian. Unless you’re working on big iron unix (not with AE), your processor is little endian. The difference between signed and unsigned is significant for numbers >=2^15 or negative. Look it up if interested. But basically it will probably work just fine as pcm_16le which doesn’t specify if it is signed or unsigned.

  I’ve just sent encoded mjpeg avi with pcm audio file to my client.
  I’m just waiting if my client would complain about it or not.
