  Importing mini DV (Samsung) into FCP X

  Please help.
  I have just upgraded my FCP to FCP X, and I am trying to capture from a mini DV tape in a Samsung camera. There is no video going in and FCP (trial version) doesn’t see the camera.

  It is an old Samsung camera, 10 + years old.
  On my laptop I have an older version of FCP and it captures fine.

  Any help would be much appreciated.
