  • Final Cut X – importing 1 hour of mini DV footage as a single file?

How can I import an hour of mini DV footage into one single file, I have done this before and it breakes up the footage into smaller files even though the camera was never stopped? Is there an import setting?
    Help !

There’s no import setting but you could capture the footage with a different app such as Quicktime player, or at worst you could take all the individual clips and turn them into a single compound clip inside FCPX. I think it’s fair to say that tape ingest is a bit of an afterthought in FCPX – more of a ‘be glad you have it at all’ thing.
