  • Audio Levels in Voice-Over Window

I just tried recording a VO in 10.0.6. The audio was fine, everything worked out but there was no audio level showing in the recording window. I have audio meters turned on in the timeline and they work fine for playback but nothing is showing while I’m recording. I tried it both using my Zoom H1 – works really well, by the way – as a USB mic and with the built-in mic but no levels show up.
Levels worked in 10.0.5 but so far not in 0.6. I’ve tried re-starting a few times but no go. Maybe there’s something I need to turn on but I just can’t find it. The VO’s sound fine, the levels are where I want them but I’d sure like the level meter back in the recording window.
Any ideas?? Loving this update otherwise.

Have just encountered the same issue. Yesterday all was working as advertised, today no audio registering in the recording window.

I should have posted my solution earlier but your post reminded me. What I did was restart X, open the VO recording window and cycle through the options for stereo and mono and suddenly the levels popped on. I haven’t had a problem since. Not a very scientific or logical solution but it worked for me. Hope that helps.

    Thanks, worked for me too!
