  More stuttering on export

  exporting direct to H264 creates stuttering here too…converting it to 720P optimum Vimeo settings with Streamclip makes it worse.

  using compressor seems to alleviate the problem…but it’s a workaround isn’ it and there seem to be reports of this going back over a year and nothing addressed by Apple.

  So we have to use Compressor it seems.

  I did a direct share to Vimeo the other day and it looks great! I then went into the project folder in finder and inside the shared folder was a copy of what was sent up and again, it looks great. Maybe try that?

  Thanks…yes probably the way to go but it takes a while doesn’t it. My preferred worklow was get the thing out of FCP ASAP creating just a ref movie. The convert with Streamclip and upload thus freeing up FCP toget on with the work.

  Also it seems to create.mov files using its Vimeo setting whereas had thought (or at least Vimeo stat) that they prefer.mp4 files but have now checked the .mov file and it is an H264 so probably best to go auto as you suggest.

  So we save loads of time in FCPX on import and rendering but when it comes to exporting we seem to have taken a bit of a step back in time.
