I have read that it is possible to export an .XML from Premiere Pro CS6 and import it into FCPX. For some reason when I try to import the .XML into FCPX the premiere XML file is greyed out. Am I missing something here or is CS6 .XML simply not compatible with FCPX?

    It is not.

You should try 7toX (in the app store) to translate the XML to FCPXML.

I’ve found out that it ONLY works if you have basic cuts and dissolves AND no video filters or effects applied. For the most part… Its useless for “real world” work. Great for simple offline to online cuts.
