  Advantage to Rendering with Apple 4:4:4 or 4:2:2 in FCP X for Color Grading

  I use a Canon 60D and I have a Sony HDR 500V. The Sony is AVCHD and the Canon pre compresses the footage to Quicktime H.264. It terms of color grading and knowing the Color Space that these cameras produce…when I import the footage should I optimize to Apple 422 (I have notices it looks softer vs 422 HQ which is not an option for transcoding anymore) or should I stick with the native format from both cameras? Also with rendering and exporting, what is the benefit of using the footage from these cams and setting the Project Rendering to 4:2:2 or 4:4:4? I want to have the best ability and settings for color grading as my hardware will allow, please help me understand what is going on here…thanks!
