Hey Guys i just switched to Final Cut X and i’m kinna loving it as i’m exploring it. But i have one issue that i haven’t been able to resolve and that is
on my timeline i have whole edited sequence but i wanna export just few secs of selection for example like i’m trying to render a teaser of the video i edited from the same edit timeline… it does give me start n end point but when i export it exports the whole timeline from the very first frame till last..
why is that and how do i overcome this
    thanks

You cannot export a range off the timeline in fcpx at the moment. A good workaround is to create a temp empty project at the same settings and copy the piece you want to export from your main project into the temp one and export. It’s a bit convoluted but works for now.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks Dave for your reply
that was actually what i was doing creating empty sequence/project and exporting my selection. i hope they change this option soon cuz before it was very convenient select range and export… but however some new features in FCPX are really good and consume less time specially post treatment has improved in FCPX

    Thanks
