  • how to change colors of a lower third?

Posted by Daniel Bethe on June 17, 2012 at 10:55 pm

Hi guys. I am tossing in lower thirds, called “Snap – Left” from the FCP X default library of lower thirds. I want to change the color of the graphics behind the text.

Is it possible to very simply edit that in the FCP X timeline in any way? Perhaps by applying a color balance filter to replace blue with purple?

Or would I have to edit that lower third in Motion and export an entirely new and redundant template which would then be seen in the library in all future usage of FCP X?

    Thanks!

Unfortunely this isn’t a published parameter. Don’t know why. You would need Motion to fix it.

    All the best,

    Tom
