  • Easy way to centre text horizontally and vertically?

Posted by Matthew Polack on December 22, 2010 at 1:38 am

    Hi,

Am attemting to centre a text layer in a comp…both horiziontally and vertically on a page.

Is there a way to do this simply in After effects?

(I found a solution that refers to having to resort to scripting…)

    Thanks.

SPACEMAN suggests that Matthew uses rulers (cmd>r) to mark centre screen, (creating a new layer will show you the centre anchor point) then writes his text and alligns using the paragraph tab. (window>paragraph)

SPACEMAN needs spaceship parts, not expressions…

    Use the align panel.
